Romeoville Getting New Apartment Complex

The two-building complex is slated to have 46 one- and two-bedroom units.

A developer plans to bring an apartment building with 46 one-and two-bedroom units to Romeoville.

Developer John Forkan brought presented a concept plan for the development, known as Celtic Apartments, before the village board last week. The apartment complex will be located near Weber Road and High Point Drive, with units ranging from 730 to 1,300 square feet, according to village documents. 

There will be one inside parking space for each unit in the building, plus 41 exterior spaces for tenants and guests.

The concept plans calls for a two-building complex to be built near the BMO Harris Bank at Weber and High Point Drive. Building 1 would be a four-story, 30-unit building, while Building 2 would be a three-story, 16-unit building.

A spokesman for the developer said the small number of larger-than-average units and will be "conducive to a higher-end kind of renter," according to the Herald-News.
