Romeoville Athletic and Events Center Officially Opens

The center is already slated to host a Nike youth basketball tournament, Chicago Beer Rally.

The brand-new, 76,000-square-foot Romeoville Athletic and Events Center is officially open.

Romeoville officials, including Mayor John Noak, unveiled the center during a Monday night ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Already, the events center is slated to serve as the venue for a Nike youth basketball tournament next month, the May 3 Chicago Beer Rally and the May 17 Hero Helps anti-heroin forum.

The center features:
  • Two permanent basketball courts
  • Six portable basketball courts over indoor soccer field (April-October)
  • One indoor soccer field
  • Community meeting rooms
  • Consession with vending and seating

A community open house is scheduled for the Romeoville Athletic and Events Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12. Community members are invited to come out for a tour of the new facility and bring the kids too for a variety of activities including inflatables, face painting, open gym, snacks, giveaways, skill clinics and more.!
