Romeoville Police Blotter: 14-Year-Olds Charged with Burglary

June 27


A 17-year-old was arrested for possession of fireworks at 9:47 p.m. in the 200 block of Haller, police said.

July 3


Michael Armstrong, 45, of the 6600 block of Cooper Court in Douglasville, Georgia, was arrested at 1:29 a.m. at 135th Street and Weber Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, driving an uninsured vehicle and driving without a seat belt, Romeoville police said.

July 5


Thomas Cancino, 22, of the 2400 block of Meridian Drive, Joliet, was arrested at 4:34 a.m. in the 1600 block of Fiddyment and charged with criminal damage to property, police said.

Samuel Sandoval Jr., 18, of the 200 block of Two River Court, Romeoville, was arrested at 11:02 p.m. in the 0-100 block of Honeybear Lane and charged with possession of cannabis, police said.

July 7


Cody Kittle, 19, of the 500 block of Laurel Avenue in Romeoville was arrested at 12:49 p.m. in the 700 block of Halstead Avenue and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment, police said.

A 16-year-old was arrested at 11:46 p.m. in the area of 135th Street and Frieh Drive and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, according to police.

July 11


Two 14-year-olds were arrested at 1:10 p.m. in the 400 block of Healy Avenue and charged with burglary to a motor vehicle, police said. A 13-year-old was also charged with burglary to a motor vehicle, along with possession of drug equipment, police said.

July 12


Brian Butler, 25, of the 200 block of Columbia in Naperville was arrested at 1:10 p.m. at Highpoint Drive and Harmony Lane on two in-state warrants and a charge of possession of a controlled substance, police said.

July 13


Jose Rivera, 36, of the 300 block of Raynor Avenue, Joliet, was arrested at 2:12 a.m. on Route 53 north of Taylor Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving an uninsured vehicle, driving without a valid license and improper lane use, police said.
