Dog Killed in Lakewood Falls House Fire

The blaze happened Saturday night in unincorporated Plainfield.

A fire at a Monticello Circle home injured one dog and claimed the life of another, according to the Herald-News.

The blaze, which reportedly started in the kitchen, was discovered by the homeowner around 11 p.m. Saturday in the 14200 block of Monticello Circle, according to the newspaper.
One dog died at the scene and another was treated with a canine breathing mask before being taken to a local veterinarian, according to the Herald. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to the Lockport Township Fire Protection District. Click here to read the full article.
