Man Tells Police He Had Sex with Child Victim 400 Times: Prosecutor

Jason Hagerstrom's alleged sexual contact began when the now 17-year-old victim was just 6, Will County Assistant State's Attorney Frank Byers said.

A Joliet man told police he began sexually abusing a young girl when she was just 6 years old, and had sex with her more than 400 times in the ensuing 10 or more years, a Will County prosecutor said in court today. Jason Hagerstrom, 35, of 1226 N. Raynor Ave., has admitted to oral, anal and conventional sex and other forms of sexual contact with the victim, who is now 17, Assistant State's Attorney Frank Byers told Judge Roger Rickmon during Hagerstrom's bond hearing. Bond was set at $5 million. After the hearing, Byers said it's likely more charges will be added to the 18 felonies Hagerstrom currently faces when the case goes to the grand jury a few weeks from now. Update: Suspect Did Child Porn/Sex Assaults for 10-12 Years, Cops Say

Joliet police arrested Jason Hagerstrom on Saturday night; little information on the case is being released in order to protect the victim, the police chief said.

UPDATE/posted at 7 p.m. Sunday: Joliet Police Chief Mike Trafton has issued the following press release on the Jason Hagerstrom arrest: "Hagerstrom committed the listed offenses over a ten to twelve year period. These offenses involved a juvenile victim. Due to the sensitive nature of these offenses and to protect the victim, no victim information will be released. The investigation is ongoing and much work still needs to be completed, further charges are expected to be filed. Romeoville Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Young Girl for 2 Years: Police

Justino Muniz-Munoz faces a charge of predatory criminal sexual assault for his alleged contact with the victim from 2009 to 2011, officials said.

A Romeoville man who worked as a U.S. Army recruiter has been arrested for sexually assaulting a young girl for two years, beginning when she was 11 years old, according to a Will County Sheriff's Office report. Justino Muniz-Munoz, 43, allegedly had sexual contact with the victim several times between 2009 and 2011 while she and her mother were living in the unincorporated Romeoville area, sheriff's office spokesman Kathy Hoffmeyer said. Muniz-Munoz, described as a family friend, was arrested on a warrant charging predatory criminal sexual assault and booked into the Will County jail Oct. 26.
