Update: Suspect Did Child Porn/Sex Assaults for 10-12 Years, Cops Say
Joliet police arrested Jason Hagerstrom on Saturday night; little information on the case is being released in order to protect the victim, the police chief said.
UPDATE/posted at 7 p.m. Sunday: Joliet Police Chief Mike Trafton has issued the following press release on the Jason Hagerstrom arrest: "Hagerstrom committed the listed offenses over a ten to twelve year period. These offenses involved a juvenile victim. Due to the sensitive nature of these offenses and to protect the victim, no victim information will be released. The investigation is ongoing and much work still needs to be completed, further charges are expected to be filed. The Will County States Attorney's Office has been an active partner in the investigation, aiding the Joliet Police Department in search warrants and approval of charges."
