Property Crimes: iPhone, Jewelry, Cash, Hunting Gear Taken

There were also acts of vandalism reported to the Romeoville police, including a smashed sliding glass door and a spray-painted shed

The Romeoville Police Department took these property crime reports: An iPhone valued at $500 was taken Nov. 10 from a business in the 700 block of Center when a customer left it on a table while playing a game. Jewelry valued at $2,000 was taken Nov. 13 from a home in the 0 to 100 block of Abbeywood. Suspect broke a window to enter the house. Three spare tires and rims, valued at a total of $300, were taken Nov. 16 from cars parked at a business in the 1300 block of Marquette Drive. A duffel bag containing numerous hunting items, valued at a total of $1,500, taken Nov. 18 from a garage in the 1600 block of Belmont Drive. Police Blotter: Burglaries, Stolen Gas, Battery Charges

Arrests, incidents reported by Romeoville Police Department, other agencies, Jan. 23-Feb. 9.

Jerry T. Funakoshi, 20, 2065 White Cliffe Drive, Romeoville, was arrested by Will County police and booked on warrants for two counts of residential burglary and three counts of burglary. Sheriff’s department spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said the arrest stems from Romeoville incidents dating back to April and May 2010. Daniel Christopher Ford, 22, 1624 Rose Lane, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville Police and booked on Will County warrants for failure to appear, according to Will County records. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. Bail was set at $5,500. Alfonso Avitia, 24, 1956 Whitmore Drive, Romeoville, was arrested by Will County Police and charged with two counts of driving on a revoked or suspended …
