State Police Nab R'ville Clerks for Selling to Minors

State troopers conducted a check at 24 area businesses and arrested two Romeoville employees who sold alcohol to underage customers.

Two employees of Romeoville businesses were arrested Wednesday for selling alcohol to minors, according to Illinois State Police District 5. State troopers conducted an Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement surveillance Wednesday night at 24 places that sell alcohol in Romeoville and Lockport. They arrested three people for breaking the law by selling to underage customers -- two in Romeoville and one in Lockport. They were: Selling alcohol to a minor is a Class A misdemeanor.
