He is an awesome little man, not to mention super cute with his big floppy ears! His foster family absolutely adores him, as he has taken to snuggling on the couch with the family as they watch TV and curling up next to his foster mom at bedtime. His favorite toy is a stuffed bunny that he likes to carry with him around the house and he likes to play with other dogs. He is very happy to go on walks with his head held high. Submitted by the Romeoville Humane Society: Meet Lulu, a sweet 3-year-old female Chihuahua/dachshund mix who wants nothing more than to be a full-time lap dog. Lulu is a very timid little girl who is in the process of being housebroken. She has been afraid to be on a leash but is getting a little better each time. If it were up to her, she would be held in your arms or sitting on your lap 24/7; she prefers this to running around the house. If you look in the dictionary under "LAP DOG" you will see a picture of Lulu. She does not bark. This sweetheart is afraid of loud noises and would be best in a home with no small children who would most likely increase her fear. Submitted by the Romeoville Humane Society: Pistol, a 4-month-old female Australian cattle dog/border collie mix, is in search of her forever family. This cute little girl has a name that says is all! She is quite the character and as a young pup is easily excitable. With the exception of the occasional excited "leak," she is housetrained and does her business outside like a good girl. Pistol is very active and LOVES to play, by herself or with other dogs for as long as they will play with her. She has learned to be nice to cats, she only sniffs at them and wants to play with them. These super-affectionate siblings have never been separated and we would like to find them their fur-ever home together, as they enjoy each other’s company very much and are always cuddling and hanging out. This extremely sweet and loving boy got his name from his constant purring. He is super affectionate and always wants to be around his people. He will follow you around, and wants to come with you when you walk out the door. He's always looking over his shoulder to make sure you are still there with him. Murray has FIV, which means he cannot be in a household with other felines unless they too to have FIV. Submitted by the Romeoville Humane Society: This pretty lady is a 5-year-old female shorthair tortoiseshell who will give you lots of love and affection: Freda is a very sweet front-paw declawed beauty with a gorgeous tortoiseshell coat with big bright eyes. She is affectionate and loves attention from you, but in new surroundings must first get acclimated and over her initial shyness as she may retreat into hiding until she feels comfortable. She has not spent time with other cats since she came to the Humane Society so we are still assessing her temperament with others. She has had no exposure to dogs. This handsome specimen is a very large and came to the humane society front-paw declawed. Mason loves to be pet, have his head rubbed and will roll all over the floor and wait for you to rub his belly. He has had no exposure to dogs but is OK with some cats (he has been with females but not other males yet). This nice boy is a good balance of affectionate and independent.
