Property Crimes: House Burglaries, Vandalism

Romeoville police reports also indicate several vehicles and two homes were damaged or defaced.

The following property crimes were reported to the Romeoville Police Department: Spray paint was used to vandalize a vehicle parked in an alley behind a residence in the 0 to 100 block of Freesia. Report made at 7:10 p.m. Oct. 16; damage estimated at $100. Spray paint was used to deface a garage door of a residence in the 100 block of Freesia. Report made at 7:53 p.m. Oct. 16; damage estimated at $100. A generator, snow blower, pool cue, tool box and air compressor, valued at a total of $900, taken from the garage of a residence in the 400 block of Hamrick. Report made at 6:40 p.m. Oct. 29. A motorcycle radio was taken and an unknown substance used to damage a motorcycle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 300 block of Hickory. …

Property Crimes: Jewelry, Copper Pipe Stolen from Homes

Also reported were several cases of vandalism, car break-ins and retail theft.

The following property crimes were reported to the Romeoville Police Department: Copper pipe, value unknown, taken from a residence in the 200 block of Columbine. Report filed Oct. 18. A duffle bag and its contents, total value $650, taken from a motor vehicle park in the area of Belmont and 135th Street. Report filed at about 6:55 p.m. Oct. 24. Spray paint was used to damage a fence in the 600 of Nelson, causing about $50 in damage. Report filed at about 12:35 p.m. Oct. 24. Retail merchandise valued at $1,768 taken from a business in the 400 block of Weber Road at about 4:20 a.m. Oct. 25. A store employee who confronted the suspect was pushed. Property Crimes: Cars, Houses Vandalized; Garage, Home Break-ins

Romeoville police took reports on the following incidents involving personal property.

The following Romeoville property crimes were reported to the Romeoville Police Department: A tool chest and tools valued at $4,000 were reported taken at about 2:20 p.m. Oct. 15 from the employee of a business in the 600 block of Schwab Circle. The side-view mirror of a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Hamrick was reported damaged at about 6:15 p.m. Oct. 16. Damage estimated at $650. An employee's purse was reported taken at about 7:10 p.m. Oct. 17 from a business in the 1300 block of West Normantown Road. The purse and its contents valued at $63. Property Crimes: Stereos, Gift Cards, Tool Belt, DVD Players Stolen from Vehicles

Other reports made to the Romeoville police include broken kitchen and car windows, a stolen ladder and two vacuum cleaners taken from a business.

The following property crimes were reported to the Romeoville Police Department: The kitchen window of a home in the 200 block of Cedarbend was reported damaged at 2:20 p.m. Oct. 7. Damage estimated at $500. A car radio and GPS was taken from one vehicle and a car radio and spare key was taken from another while they were parked in the driveway in the 0 to 100 block of Tahoe Lane. Property Crimes: Stolen Copper, Damaged Vehicles

The following property crimes were reported to the Romeoville Police Department: The back door of a van parked in a residential driveway in the 1900 block of Somerset was defaced with spray paint. Report made at about 4:10 p.m. Sept. 29; damage estimated at $100. Property Crimes: Stolen Bikes, Car Burglaries

Keep those car doors locked and your bicycles in the garage if you want to hang on to them. Not much you can do, though, if someone wants to slash your tires.

The Romeoville Police Department took reports on the following property crimes: Two bicycles valued at a total of $300 reported stolen from the driveway of a residence in the 1000 block of Redondo at 10:30 p.m. Sept. 3. Two storm sewer grates valued at a total of $640 reported stolen from the 0 to 100 block of Honeybear at 4:35 p.m. Sept. 4.  A landscape brick was used to damage the driver and passenger side windows of a car parked in the 1600 block of William Drive. Property Crimes: Stolen Bike, Car; Broken Window

A number of property damage and stolen property reports were filed with the Romeoville Police Department.

The following property crimes were reported to the Romeoville Police Department: Tools, ladders and other items, valued at a total of $2,525, were reported stolen at about 9:50 a.m. Aug. 9 from a locked storage facility, the address of which was not disclosed. A brake rotor was thrown at a house in the 1100 block of Cherrywood Court at about 11:20 p.m. Aug. 24, causing $1,200 in damage to a vehicle and the residence's screen and front door. A sharp objecte was used to damage a tire of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 0 to 100 block of Concord Avenue.
