Romeoville mayoral candidates have been sparring in the media; now the incumbent is asking for a face-to-face debate.
Romeoville Mayor John Noak took to the airwaves Wednesday to challenge opponent Steve "Mongo" McMichael to a debate. The two mayoral candidates have been engaged in a somewhat heated battle leading up to the April 9 election. A winter storm that could dump 10 or more inches of snow on Romeoville and the Chicago area prompted organizers to postpone a fundraiser for mayoral candidate Steve "Mongo" McMichael. The event, originally set for March 5 at the Old Town Pour House in Chicago, will be rescheduled for Friday, March 15, at a location that's still to be determined, according to a press release issued Monday by the McMichael campaign.
