Bolingbrook Oct. 27: A 36-year-old Bolingbrook man has been charged with driving under the influence after police said his car slammed through the side wall of a Bolingbrook home and stopped inside the garage. Michael D. Karwoske, 36, was arrested at 3:24 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, driving too fast for conditions and  operating an uninsured motor vehicle, according to Bolingbrook police. Pair Charged After Hit-And-Run Accident

Police arrest two Romeoville residents early Tuesday morning.

After receiving a report of a hit-and-run accident, police were able to track down the suspected vehicle and arrest the occupants early Tuesday morning. Kyle Joseph Lipke, 22, of the 200 block of S. Highpoint Drive, and Beata Anna Szwab, 20, of the 200 block of Georgetown Avenue, both of Romeoville, were arrested at 1:07 a.m. and 1:24 a.m. respectively in the 1000 block of W. Jefferson Avenue, according to Naperville Police Department reports. Police reports stated that when the vehicle was pulled over, Szwab was driving, but she allegedly admitted that Lipke had been behind the wheel at the time of the crash.
