The coroner's office said Jameka Rochelle-Williamson was found in the Des Plaines River but her cause of death is "inconclusive."
The woman whose body was pulled out of the Des Plaines River Wednesday afternoon has been identified as a Joliet resident who's been missing since Aug. 26, according to the Will County Coroner's Office. Jameka Rochelle-Williamson, 28, was declared dead at about 2:50 p.m., about an hour after a fisherman discovered her in the water near Rockdale and contacted police, the coroner's office said. An autopsy was conducted by the coroner Thursday, but the results were deemed "inconclusive" and no cause of death recorded. Toxicology tests have been conducted, and the results are pending, the office said. The Illinois State Police is handling the case, but could not be reached for comment.
