Property Crimes: Jewelry, Copper Pipe Stolen from Homes

Also reported were several cases of vandalism, car break-ins and retail theft.

The following property crimes were reported to the Romeoville Police Department: Copper pipe, value unknown, taken from a residence in the 200 block of Columbine. Report filed Oct. 18. A duffle bag and its contents, total value $650, taken from a motor vehicle park in the area of Belmont and 135th Street. Report filed at about 6:55 p.m. Oct. 24. Spray paint was used to damage a fence in the 600 of Nelson, causing about $50 in damage. Report filed at about 12:35 p.m. Oct. 24. Retail merchandise valued at $1,768 taken from a business in the 400 block of Weber Road at about 4:20 a.m. Oct. 25. A store employee who confronted the suspect was pushed. Property Crimes: Stolen Bikes, Car Burglaries

Keep those car doors locked and your bicycles in the garage if you want to hang on to them. Not much you can do, though, if someone wants to slash your tires.

The Romeoville Police Department took reports on the following property crimes: Two bicycles valued at a total of $300 reported stolen from the driveway of a residence in the 1000 block of Redondo at 10:30 p.m. Sept. 3. Two storm sewer grates valued at a total of $640 reported stolen from the 0 to 100 block of Honeybear at 4:35 p.m. Sept. 4.  A landscape brick was used to damage the driver and passenger side windows of a car parked in the 1600 block of William Drive. The damage, estimated at $400, was reported at about 11:25 p.m. Sept. 4. Police Blotter: Car Burglaries, Retail Theft, Vandalism

Arrests and property crimes reported by the Romeoville Police Department and other police agencies.

Sandra M. Johnson, 25, 1353 Alder Creek Drive, Romeoville, arrested by the Will County Sheriff's Office and booked into the Will County jail on Aug. 15 on a charge of driver's license expired for more than one year and on a failure to appear warrant. Jeremy Ryan Emory, 24, 1811 Pebblestone, Romeoville, arrested by the Will County Sheriff's Office and booked into the Will County jail on Aug. 15 on a charge of felony retail theft. A blunt object was used to break window in the 100 block of Highpoint Drive. July 21 1. Thief nabs iPod, cell phone from purse A customer who left a purse unattended on a lawn chair at a business in the 100 block of Cedarbend returned to find an iPod and cell phone missing from the bag, police said. Estimated value of the gadgets is $500. July 29 2. Car title stolen Someone stole the title out of a vehicle parked on the street in the 300 block of Honeytree, police said. The title was worth $220. July 31 3. Another car burglary A thief or thieves took several items, worth an estimated $1,150, from a car parked in a public parking area in the 1500 block of Azalea Circle, according to police.
