Romeoville Police Blotter: Burglars Take Everything, Including the Kitchen Sink

Incidents reported by Romeoville police, May 9-15.

May 9 Someone stole a bicycle from the garage of a home in the 1700 block of Autumn Woods Lane, police said. A resident in the 200 block of Hemlock reported that an unknown person stole $20, a pair of sunglasses and prescription medication, worth a total of $265, from an unlocked vehicle parked in front of the home, police said.  May 11 A burglar stole a 3-D HDTV from a residence in the 400 block of Arnold Avenue, police said. Estimated value of the TV is $3,000. May 14 A resident in the 1900 block of Crestview Circle reported a residential burglary and said two TVs, audio equipment, a gaming system, computer equipment and several pieces of jewelry were taken from the home, police said. Romeoville Police Blotter: Drug Possession, Retail Theft

Arrests reported by Romeoville police, April 26 to May 13.

April 26 Todd Bisceglia, 52, of the 7800 block of Huntington Circle in Hanover Park was arrested by Romeoville police at 8:37 p.m. at Route 53 and Joliet Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, making an improper turn, illegal transportation of alcohol and disobeying a traffic-control device, police said. May 10 Cory Gould, 18, of the 12000 block of Blue Iris Lane, Plainfield; and Polo Morales, 18, of the 1900 block of Crestview Drive in Plainfield were arrested by Romeoville police at 837 a.m. in the 500 block of Wilco Boulevard and charged with possession of cannabis. Romeoville Police Blotter: Man Charged with DUI, Driving 30-Plus Miles Over the Limit

Arrests reported by Romeoville police, other agencies, May 10-14.

May 10 Alfredo Casas, 26, of the 900 block of Savannah, Romeoville, was arrested by Will County Sheriff's police and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. Linda Sanchez, 24, of the 4700 block of Baccarrat, Joliet, was arrested by Romeoville police and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without a license, according to jail records. May 12 David Abrego, 19, of the 1-100 block of Pine Lane in Hodgkins, Illinois, was arrested by Romeoville police and charged with aggravated DUI, driving without a valid license and driving 31-29 mph over the limit, police said.

Romeoville Police Blotter: Would-Be Car Burglars Thwarted

Incidents reported by Romeoville police, April 20-30.

April 20 A resident in the 1600 block of Amaryllis reported an attempted vehicle burglary. Police said two would-be thieves were scared away from an open vehicle that was parked in a driveway by a passerby who stopped. Nothing was stolen, police said. April 21 Two unknown people entered a business in the 0-100 block of Alexander Circle and ran out with a $21.99 case of beer without paying for it, police said. April 24 Someone made holes in the walls of a home in the 500 block of Everette, and used marker to deface the kitchen area, police said. The estimated cost to repair the damage is $200. April 26 Someone used a landscaping rock to damage the window of a home in the 0-100 block of Kenilworth Circle, causing $500 in damage, police said…

April 23 Rickey Campbell Jr. 21, of the 1900 block of Brimstone Road, Romeoville, was arrested at 2:21 a.m. in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive and charged with burglary from a motor vehicle, police said. April 12 A business in the 400 block of South Weber Road reported a retail theft after an unknown person "returned merchandise to the store under fraudulent circumstances," police said. The estimated cost of the merchandise is $138.84. A shoplifter made off with 10 DVDs worth a total of $234.95 from a business in the 400 block of North Weber Road, according to police.
