I'm quite happy with Obama. Another four yrs would be fine.
Gary April 23, 2014 at 05:19 pm
OK. It's agreed then. We build a temporary Obama Presidential library in Chicago for about $10,000Read More and then tear it down after 4 years. Is everyone on board, yes, good. Let's do it.
Gary April 23, 2014 at 05:20 pm
We'll promise him that he can "keep his library in Chicago if he wants". he-he-he-he.Read More I'm sure he'll understand.

I should have said no Ford Foundation grants. There will always be foundations giving out grants.Read More Hopefully they won't do as the Ford Foundation did and give a grant to Jeff Ford and his gang.
Edward Andrysiak April 22, 2014 at 01:09 pm
Well, here comes more get rid of the guns talk. You seldom hear why the gangs are at war. The reasonRead More is market share. It's about money. That is how they support themselves. So, let's concentrate on removing what the fight over...drug sales, prostitution and the like. Rid the neighborhoods of that and there will be less to fight over. Squeeeeeze their profits down to zero and there will be less violence!

We need a million man march in Peoria. Demand the removal of the Mayor, All three Judges, and PoliceRead More chief.

It probably took 3 judges to get them to grant the warrants they were looking for. And the AttorneyRead More Registration and Disciplinary Commission (ARDC) is the "bar" you are looking for. You will find specific rules there and though anyone can lodge complaints, and all complaints are heard, the accused members of the bar have a right to defend themselves and their actions. The attorney for the arrested kid can file for sanctions, too, and move to suppress the information obtained by the warrant if it is judged to have been granted erroneously.

Here you go: On March 14, Judge Kirk Schoebein signed off on a warrant seeking subscriberRead More information from Twitter. On March 29, two days after Twitter gave police the information they requested, Judge Lisa Wilson approved a warrant for Comcast to find out where the person who used the Internet to access Twitter lived. On April 1, Elliott was identified as the Comcast subscriber for 1220 N. University St., the affidavit said. Two weeks later, Judge Kim Kelley approved the warrant to search the house. Police seized several iPhones, two Xbox video game consoles, computers, pieces of mail, drug paraphernalia, alleged marijuana and digital memory cards. Michele can make the decisions on where people work, better watch out, if they are not nice you mayRead More be out on the street, after all you are better off for it.
Russ Foster April 23, 2014 at 07:05 pm
And that's the problem. Too many people have been brainwashed into the believing the governmentRead More knows what's best for everyone. No one can be trusted to make decisions for themselves. Just let the government do it for you.
McCloud April 23, 2014 at 07:25 pm
Arrogance is part of the thinking, the leaders are smarter and we need their help. Many buy in onRead More the intent of a particular program, how effective it is makes really no difference, as long as the leader says that he cares they are all in. Anyone who raises a question is labeled a hater, a denier, a racist, an extremist. Works well for their politics.

She was actually a very good judge !
Ed60062 April 8, 2014 at 09:39 pm
Funny how everyone thinks she shouldn't be a judge but, as was pointed out earlier, few bothered toRead More vote no on the retention ballot.
Magilla Gorilla April 13, 2014 at 09:09 am
Wow. If they had an asterisk by her name on the ballot that symbolized a connotation regarding herRead More illness, I am sure people would have voted No. Most people that vote are either politically ignorant or corrupted anyway. Either way, the voting system is a fraud. SHOW HER THE MONEY, cuz, as far as I can tell, the vast majority of public servants have more than a few screws loose anyway... Birds of a feather flock together.

Marie MANCERA March 30, 2014 at 07:46 pm
Already, there is TOO MUCH Government interference in the private life of us Americans, why don thisRead More gov agents worry about schools, high taxes, etc. Ms. Madigan has a lot of nerve asking for stores to stop selling cigarettes, at the time the state is legalizing marihuana, Cook county is the highest tax in the state, etc.etc.

If they're gonna ban tobacco products, they should also ban junk food & pop along with alcohol!

Bring jobs by encouraging new businesses, expanding existing ones, encourage R&D, internshipsRead More for students and teachers, give incentives for hiring, particularly the unemployed, encourage home ownership, energy conservation, incentives to get off the vices, like drugs. Convert firearms to ploughs and high tech tools, cars and robots. These will all add revenues and taxes, and we could go back to the good old days of 2 or 3% state income tax. Look at the states with zero state income tax: WA, TX, FL, Arizona, NM, Oegon and others: they are all pro-business, which means more jobs and sales/excise taxes. I hate going to Chicago to pay outrageous parking fees. No such problem in beautiful suburbs like Oakbrook. Bring more jobs to suburbs and the country side. Give incentives to farmers. Why are more ag businesses in Iowa, WI and MN than in IL? I want to start a business which in 3-5 years could add as many as 100 jobs. I went to my village: no incentives! Wyming is giving us "no taxes for 10 years". Wake up IL politicians!
