Screamfield is an amazing haunt, in which the actors and the behind the scenes crew become a tightRead More knit family, Who return year after year. But we are always searching for new Blood, as a portion of our cast tends to be seniors in High School and move along to colleges. Haunt camp will be a fun, and enjoyable process. Come see what fun it is to scare others, even if you hate haunted houses yourself. (I would never ever go in one before I started working for Screamfield this will be my 5th year, I now go to six flags fright fest to enjoy the make up and special effects...even walking threw actual haunted houses) I hope to see alot of new bodies there....and new Victims... I mean cast members. Ms. Eat'em (Deb Moore) Tenant of Screamfield

The whole Screamfield/Halloween season in Plainfield is a terrific experience! Looking forward toRead More this year. Last year we happened to have friends in twon around that time and the weather was great and they were just bowled over by the job everyone involved in this public fun fest does!

Hey jim everyone of my uncles, everyone of my family, everyone of my friends, especially the one whoRead More was in vietnam who has episodes like he's being attacked and hiding in the bushes, yeah that really happens, then having to deal with the VA hospitals each month "forgetting" to order diabetic medications, heart medications after EACH and EVERY single one of them had to deal with this ...APART from wanting to take their own lives...ALL of them said it was not worth it..This young man is a prime example of not being worth it....Serving to defend country yes...fighting a hitler sure...but know this...this man took his life for the things that were done against his morals.....Just like the rest of them.Listen to your Vets when they speak...dont just hang a yellow ribbon, have some parade, give them a dog.....LISTEN to them when they say things like.."THe war isnt worth it"...."Were not changing a thing it all remains the same"..When they came on Youtube wanting to come home and started speaking out against the war then started to get into trouble for it.....Listen to them when they told AMERICA they are not allowed to VOTE..The very right they are supposedly fighting to protect. Listen when they say we "Americans are just robbing citizens over there and doing what ever they want to anyone they want.....When this happens they do not "Rat "out their fellow soldiers so any actions as a group reflects on them weather involved or not because doing nothing is being involved..so it goes directly against their morals...I have sat and watched vets have flashbacks while fishing, watched vet tear up when telling something that reminds them of the war....I dare not say who or what they did...Lets lust say...I listened when they said after they enlisted they understood..they meant nothing and the whole "go America" was bull..war is all about business....From our soldiers having to sit face to face with other governemts that they know are directly reporting to the terrorists to kill more Americans....I listened when they said they all wanted to come home and that a Government poll guggested that 75 to 85% during the bullcrap "Presidential Elections" and maybe even this Soldier here was supporting and going to vote for Ron Paul which prompted Obama to pass the "Soldiers are not allowed to vote not appear at campaings, nor speak at podiums for any candidate" Then brought a wounded worrier and his mother to speak on his behalf....I almost bet this SOldier was voting for Ron Paul...like his fellow Soldiers...

I watched Hines hospital and what they put some of my friends through...I know every single one ofRead More my vet friends that faught in a war were the ones that told me and convinced me and i Quote.."You can defend America in America we need to protect it from ourselves first" We need to fix whats here first" "All the money wasted wasting time killing people who just come back with the same mentallity year after year we could have America looking like a palace" "I killed people...and all they gave me for it was a medal & a hard time" referring to the VA hospitals.

These service dogs are highly trained intuitive creatures who have the proven ability to assistRead More people suffering from PTSD. I've read the testimonials.

I just wish people would pick up after there dogs. I have seen few that don't. The kicker is theyRead More even supply bags for us and still can't pick it up.

Dogs parks are mostly inexpensive, have permits to lower cost, and sometimes include sponsors asRead More this one did. Id say the average cost is around 75k total with fencing at around 10k, meaning most is administrative and landscaping. As for "everyone", There are now more American households with dogs than with kids of 43 million and 38 million respectively. "It's a playground for people without kids."

That's 48 gallons of milk not food. It was very heartbreaking to see good food go to waste but weRead More are very blessed that we only loss power. God bless all those with down trees and other damage. Prayers that everyone gets their power back on.

Their internal communications leave much to be desired. I respect and appreciate their hard work,Read More but the people in "customer service" are always given less info to work with than they used to receive. There needs to be a much better system to communicate to customers what delays may exist and why the do exist. The consumer's deserves better. Of course, we could all switch to solar back-ups, thereby lessening our reliance on a corporate monolith. No, not to replace. Not at today's level of technology. But as an option to power a refrigerator and a TV is doable with some recent advances. Watch it, Excelon. You could become less of a need and more of an option. Keep customers better informed.

If anyone is old enough to remember... This has shades of Mayor Bilandic in '79. One of the fewRead More times a local weather event can be pinpointed as the cause of a politician losing an election. Hopefully, this event becomes another one. Even more hopefully, before someone needlessly dies or is injured.

I'm not aware of any distinction between township and village sirens, I think they are allRead More interconnected. BTW the sirens are meant to warn people outdoors. They are not meant to warn people indoors who have access to TV, radio, internet, etc. The storm was very loud and with the high winds blowing the sound around it would be very difficult for people indoors to hear the sirens.
Romeoville Resident July 2, 2014 at 11:14 am
For the record Romeoville sounded sirens

This is Wonderful! I have family and friends who cannot have children, some were lucky enough toRead More adopt. I don't care where these children our from, there will be a set of parents who will love them and be so thankful to finally be parents! Keep us posted on the outcome.

If what your saying is true Eric Blair, what would you suggest the average American do about it?Read More Voting is a joke and just something to make the peasants think they're in control.
Eric Blair June 26, 2014 at 07:09 am
Raggedyann, your post is very true. There is nothing we can do about it. This country has beenRead More balkanized for a reason. Surely you have heard of “divide and conquer”. With the exception of that Zionist scumbag Eric Cantor it looks like the stupid American people are set to reelect the same cockroaches again that are destroying this country. I’m afraid we’re toast. We failed our kids. In the meantime you might read Paul Craig Roberts, if you can handle the truth, he’s always right on in his commentaries.

The therapy dog ran from a neighbors' home? a block over? Who was watching this dog and why was itRead More at a neighbors' home?
Wife & Mother June 25, 2014 at 11:42 am
See people always give Pit Bulls a bad rap. Every dog can bite and kill, not just the pit bull.
Alicia Martha Miller July 14, 2014 at 05:51 pm
Hint for people commenting; a therapy dog is a dog that visits nursing homes and hospitals. MostRead More people here seem to confuse it with a Service Dog - which is a dog trained to help a person with a specific disability. Second - a borzoi should be trained not to attack pets... they can learn the difference between prey and pets - I know because I do train service dogs, including borzoi.
