Summer's Last Blast: Fireworks Will Light Up the Sky
Five things to put on your to-do list for the weekend. And we're not talking about mowing the lawn or cleaning the garage.
1. Free Concert at The Promenade Bolingbrook: Moriah Peters will perform from 6-8 p.m. on Friday (Aug. 23). The concert, sponsored by WBGL Radio, is free and family friendly.
2. Standard Bank Stadium Concert Series: TributoSaurus Becomes ‘The Who’ in a performance at 7 p.m. Friday (Aug. 23) at Standard Bank Stadium, 14011 Kenton Ave., Crestwood. 3. Summer’s Last Blast: Noon to dusk on Saturday (Aug. 24) at Volunteer Park, Bolingbrook. The event features a 7 p.m. concert by 28 Days and fireworks to cap the night. Information:www.bolingbrookparks.org

4. Moving Sale: Friday-Sunday (Aug. 23-25), Apollo Drive, Plainfield. Furniture, auto & garden, home (kitchenware, etc.) and family (kids’ toys, boardgames, etc.). Hours: 3-6 p.m. Friday, 10-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
5. ATI Foundation’s Cruising-4-Kids Motorcyle Ride & Celebration: Registration begins at 9 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 24) at Harrah’s Casino, Jolilet. First bike out is at 10 a.m. Donation is $10. Proceeds help local kids with impairments. Information:www.ATIFoundation.com
