Romeoville Post Office Will Be Open Sunday, Dec. 22; Also, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve Hours Are Set

If you're mailing cards, letters or packages, take note of the post offices holiday hours.

Most Chicagoland post offices will close early on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, according to a press release from the U.S. Postal Service.

Count Romeoville's post office in that bunch.

The Romeoville office, located at 315 W. Romeo Road, will be open from 9 a.m. to noon both days.

However, post offices in Bolingbrook, Joliet and Naperville will be open until 5 p.m.

Mail will be delivered on those days as scheduled.

In observance of the holidays, post offices will be closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Only Express Mail will be delivered on those days in most major metropolitan areas. Post offices will resume regular business hours on Thursday, Dec. 26 and Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014.

Also, Romeoville's post office will be open to serve customers looking to mail holiday items during the last-minute frenzy on Sunday, Dec. 22, from noon to 3 p.m.
