Romeoville Relay For Life is June 30

Teams will remember, celebrate and fight back at the American Cancer Society fundraiser.

The date has been set for Romeoville’s second Relay For Life event.

The event, which is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, will kick off at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the 1050 W. Romeo Rd.

The overnight event is aimed at empowering community members to fight back against cancer. Teams will gather to celebrate, remember and fight back at the event, which will include guest speakers, prizes, a survivors’ lap, theme laps and more.

As fundraising begins, a kick-off rally is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at Mongo McMichael’s, 1101 N. Independence Blvd.
