Relay Tally: $52K and Counting

The July 23-24 event was a success despite the heat, storms.

As one of the hottest weeks in recent memory drew to a close, 23 teams braved the high temperatures to set up camp and fight back against cancer.

They walked through the night to raise money for the American Cancer Society at the first-ever Relay For Life of Romeoville on July 23 and 24 at village hall.

Nearly a week after the event, organizers are calling it a success, with an early tally showing a total of $52,092 and counting raised to support cancer research and patient resources.
