Meet Black and Minnie

Black, a 2-to-3-year-old male pit bull and Minnie, his foster sister, are up for adoption at the Romeoville Humane Society.

Meet Black, a male pit bull, about 2-3 years old, who was found as a stray. The folks at the Romeoville Humane Society say he is friendly with people and other dogs.

When Black first came to the humane society, volunteers noticed that his teeth had been filed down and he was heartworm positive. After months of treatment, Black has been given a clean bill of health by his vet and is neutered, vaccinated, fecal tested, heartworm tested and microchipped.

Meet Black’s foster sister, Minnie.  The pair was found running together, so they may be from the same location, and they are currently being fostered by the same person.  Humane society volunteers say Minnie is a real sweetheart.

Minnie doesn't have her teeth filed down, but like Black, she tested positive for heartworm.  It will be another month or two on medication before Minnie will be back to 100 percent.  She is spayed, vaccinated, fecal tested, heartworm tested and microchipped.
