Brunch to Benefit Community Service Council

The organization provides financial, family counseling services.

The Community Service Council of Northern Will County will host a Valentine’s Day-themed brunch benefit and auction next month.

The “Let Your Love Shine” brunch is slated for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at the , 241 Canterbury Ln., Bolingbrook.

The event will include brunch, raffle items and live auctions, with proceeds benefitting the CSC. The organization serves Romeoville, Bolingbrook, Plainfield, Lemont, Lockport and Naperville.

Formed in 1973, the CSC provides housing and financial counseling, offering foreclosure prevention services for struggling homeowners, as well as resources for first-time buyers. CSC counselors also offer assistance with family issues, parent-child conflicts, marital problems, child and teen behavior problems, divorce, remarriage, blended family adjustments, interpersonal relationship, job related issues, anxiety/depression and eating disorders.

CSC Executive Director Bob Kalnicky said the event is the ninth annual fundraiser. This year’s guest speaker is State Sen. A.J. Wilhelmi, D-Joliet.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for senior citizens and $12 for kids age 12 and younger.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available, ranging from $100 to $1,000. For more information on becoming a sponsor or to donate raffle items, call the CSC at 815-886-5000.
