RomeoFest Starts Aug. 1

This year's celebration will include two fireworks shows.

RomeoFest will return to the village (1050 W. Romeo Rd.) and Romeoville Recreation Department (900 W. Romeo Rd.) Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 1 to 4.

Once again, the village's annual celebration will include live music, kids entertainment, food vendors and carnival rides.

This year, there will be two fireworks displays; pyrotechnics will light up the sky at 9:30 p.m. Friday and Sunday.

Carnival pricing


Entrance to the carnival is free for kids age 10 and under, and $5 for ages 11 and older. The carnival is in effect from 5 p.m. to close each day of the fest, and admission bands will be valid for one day only.

Mega Passes, good for unlimited rides for all four days, are available for $45 (cash only) now through July 31; the cost is $50 (cash only) after Aug. 1. Mega Passes can be purchased in advance from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Romeoville Recreation Center, 900 W. Romeo Rd.

Fest schedule

The fest is opens at 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and noon on Saturday and Sunday.
