Human Cannonball Coming to Romeoville Friday Night

Will County CrackerJacks opening night will feature a post-game launch by Dave “the bullet” Smith, "The Human Cannonball”

The Will County CrackerJacks will host their home opener at 7 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Brennan Field on the campus of Lewis University at 1 University Parkway in Romeoville.

And opening night just got a whole lot more interesting when the CrackerJacks announced a special appearance by Dave “the bullet” Smith, the Human Cannonball. Smith will put on a post game display following the CrackerJacks game versus the DuPage County Hounds.

Smith has performed all over the world, including “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, “The Today Show,” and NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 race, where he launched in front of 144,000 people.

The Human Cannonball also launched as a part of Nickelodeon’s Kid Choice awards, where he was introduced by Ben Stiller, commentated by recording artist Nick Cannon and given his countdown to launch by real-estate tycoon Donald Trump.

“We are so fortunate to have Dave “the Bullet” Smith performing for the Will County CrackerJacks first game at Brennan Field on Friday, June 15,” said CrackerJacks General Manager Jamie Toole. “We wanted to do something special and this was the most unique opportunity available. This will truly be a memorable night for Will County.”

The CrackerJacks will continue opening weekend at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 16, followed by a 2 p.m. matinee game Sunday, June 17.

Thanks so much to Jamie Toole and the CrackerJacks for all their efforts during the 2012 season. Bringing Ernie Banks to Romeoville was one of the greatest things ever. Thanks again guys!
