Romeoville Wins Boys Bowling Regional Championship

Three seniors, one junior and one freshman came together as one as the Romeoville High School boys bowling team ruled the roost Saturday at the Sandburg Regional.

The Spartans, with a pinfall total of 6,490, captured the team title and headed a group of four qualifiers who will move on to the Andrew Sectional Jan. 25 at Orland Bowl.

Sandburg (6,449), Andrew (6,400) and Lockport (6,283) also qualified, according to IHSA.org.

Romeoville was led by senior Kyle Zaremba. He averaged 224.6 for six games and finished with a total of 1,348. The Spartans also picked up contributions from senior Dakota Vostry (1,325), senior Stephen Vaughn (1,276), junior Cody Surges (1,300) and freshman Jacob Hubbs (1,241).
