Romeoville Seniors Sign Letters of Intent

Love, Ford sign on to play college football.

Two Romeoville High School student-athletes will play football in college after signing National Letters of Intent Wednesday.

Anthony Love will head to Eastern Illinois University next fall. The Spartans defensive end was named to the IHSFCA 2013 Class 6A All-State team, and was the 2013 Southwest Prairie Conference Defensive Most Valuable Player and the RHS team defensive MVP after registering 80 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and 22.5 tackles for loss while forcing three fumbles, recovering three fumbles and grabbing one interception. He was also a member of both the 2012 and 2013 SPC All-Conference squads.

Running back Miguel Ford will attend Robert Morris University. Ford made the 2013 All Southwest Prairie Conference squad and the 2013 Herald News All Area First Team, and he was the 2013 RHS Team MVP. He scored nine touchdowns and carried the ball 140 times for 802 yards. On defense he had 21 tackles and one interception. 

Both are three-year varsity starters.
