RHS Preps for Winter Sports Schedule

has announced important dates and information for winter sports athletes and their parents.

Starting dates for practice are: boys bowling, Oct. 24; girls basketball, Oct. 31; and boys basketball, wrestling and girls bowling, Nov. 7. All participants are to report to the gymnasium at 2:05 p.m. on these starting dates.

There is a $60 participation fee for all co-curricular sports that must be paid before uniforms are issued. The maximum yearly co-curricular participation fee is $150 per student.

Student-athletes must acquire a physical form either from the RHS website (www.vvsd.org hs), a coach, athletic trainers or the athletic office. The form must be fully completed by a doctor and signed by a parent/guardian and the student-athlete before the physical form is turned in. For freshmen, the physical required for entry to high school covers the entire freshman year of athletic participation.

The Fall Sports Reception will be Wednesday, Nov. 2 in the gymnasium at 6 p.m. (social) and 6:30 p.m. (program).

Winter athletic pictures (team & individual) will be taken at 2:10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14 in the gymnasium. 

Parents and all winter athletes are invited to Meet the Coach Night at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16 in the cafeteria. This is an information meeting regarding practices, equipment, recruiting, activity fees, season tickets, etc.
