Five Valley View School District 365U student-athletes will compete in the Illinois High School Association state finals next weekend thanks to strong performance in sectionals.
Romeoville High School’s Cierra Pulliam qualified by finishing second in the triple jump at sectionals with a jump of 35 feet 5.5 inches.
Bolingbrook High School’s Jessica Watkins won the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.52 and the 200 meter dash in a time of 25.55. Charlyncia Stennis won the 400 meter dash in 58.66.
Watkins and Stennis also joined Asha Wallace and Claire Young in winning the 4x100 meter relay in a time of 49.69
