The 6-foot, 200-pound junior linebacker is one of the Southwest Prairie Conference’s hardest hitters and the Spartans’ defensive leader. Through the first four games of the season, he has 32 tackles, 12 for losses, three sacks and two fumble recoveries.

How has the 2011 season gone for you and the team, so far? The 2011 season has started slow for the Spartans. We are 1-3.
What’s the best thing about playing on defense? The best thing about defense is when you blitz through your gap and crush the quarterback or running back.
What’s it going to take for the Spartans to turn it around this year? We just have to get focused more and stop making mistakes.
Who are your favorite athletes? LeBron James and Andre Johnson
Which linebackers do you most enjoy watching play or emulate? Brian Cushing, Ray Lewis and Clay Mathews.
What was your most embarrassing sports moment? When I blitzed the wrong gap and the running back when for a 30-yard touchdown run.
What are your goals for the 2011 season? To make the playoffs and win a playoff game.
