VVSD Announces Art Showcase Winners

Winners chosen from all grade levels at Nov. 21 exhibit.

The vote is in and winners have been named following the Nov. 21 All-Star Band Festival’s third annual Middle School Art Showcase at  

On display were 10 of the best works from all five Valley View School District 365U middle schools, showcasing the many different styles and talents of VVSD students.

Sixth-grade winners were: Best in show--Fabian Pantoja, ; first place--Nichole Summers, Humphrey; second place--Susie Cano, ; and third place--Xavier Lugo, Lukancic.

Seventh-grade winners were: Best in show—Sharlen Polanco, ; first place--Vanessa Snyder and Payton Koranda, Martinez; second place—Ali Almousau, ; third place--Mr. McDermott’s first-quarter second period class, Brooks, Pauline Damocles and Catherine Cronk, Brooks and Winter Flores, Humphrey.

Eighth grade: Best in show--Yasmine Perez, Humphrey; first place--Samantha Fogt, Brooks; second place--Sairrah Garcia, Martinez; third place--Tony Vodicka, Lukancic, and Isabel Ruiz, Martinez.

Principal’s Choice Award Winners were Roha Masih, sixth grade, Lukancic; Yasmine Perez,  eighth grade, Humphrey; Trey Mack, seventh grade, Addams; Vanessa Snyder and Payton Koranda, seventh grade, Martinez; and McDermott’s first-quarter second period class, seventh grade, Brooks.
