Valley View Transportation Staff Honored for Acts of Kindness

A contest to award acts of kindess was part of the district's "Pay it Forward 365" program.

Two Valley View School District 365U staff members were recently honored for their acts of kindess following the district's "Pay it Forward 365" program. 

Valley View Bus Driver Florence Ortega created a contest to honor those in the transportation department who went out of their way to help others, according to the Bolingbrook Bugle

The contest inspired freshly baked cookies, kind words between employees and over the raio and a kind demeanor on the road. 

Monitor Josie Gonzales won first place and a $100 prize for making coffee at 5 a.m. and organizing luncheons, birthday parties and baby showers, among other good deeds, according to the Bugle

Rosemary J. Garguzs won second place and a $50 prize and third place and $25 went to Parris Haley.
