Valley View Early Childhood Center to Celebrate “Week of the Young Child” April 22-25

The Early Childhood Center in Valley View School District 365U will celebrate the "Week of the Young Child" with a variety of activities next week.

The Early Childhood Center in Valley View School District 365U will celebrate the “Week of the Young Child” with a variety of activities next week.

Monday is “Grand Friend Day” with visitors joining their per-schoolers in their classrooms from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, children’s musician Jim Gill will hold two concerts, one at 10:15 a.m. and another at 1:30 p.m. Parents and guardians are welcome to join in the fun. The day is also Crazy Hair or Hat Day.

It’s Pajama Day on Wednesday with a variety of guest readers from the school district and the community scheduled to visit classes throughout the day. Superintendent James Mitchem will read to the Fish Room at 10 a.m.

Firefighters and police officers will visit the school on Thursday which is also school spirit day. Children will wear their school t-shirt or clothing with the school’s green and yellow colors.

Week of the Young Child is designed to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families, and to recognize early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.
