Under Anderson's Direction, Romeoville Band Isn't About to Skip a Beat

Spartans deliver another winning performance Sunday at the St. Rita Stampede.

Clark Anderson, band director at Romeoville High School, is quick to note the makeup of the Spartans' marching band this year is much different than last year—14 seniors vs. 52 last year.

Well, the young Spartans are growing up in a hurry under Anderson's direction.

Romeoville was crowned a winner in the Class AA competition between 20 schools on Sunday at Chicago St. Rita's Stampede and took home a "best of show" award in percussion, too.

"This year's band has worked very hard to match the achievements of past years," Anderson said in an email.
