Representatives from the Crest Hill Recruiting Station donated posters, pens, pencils, stickers, lanyards and key chains to assist with the school's Veterans Day project.

Over the next few weeks, a quick glance at the hallways at A. Vito Martinez Middle School will find dozens and dozens of names of students’ relatives who have served, or are currently serving, in the United States military.

The displays, organized by military branch, are designed to show students how connected they all are to the military as Veterans Day (Nov. 11) approaches.

Students received personal connections slips in their social studies classes and filled them out with names of moms, dads, grandparents, brothers and sisters, cousins and any other relatives who served their country.
