Spartans First at SPC Chess Tournament

RHS team members also snagged first- and second-place medals.

The Romeoville High School chess team took first at the Dec. 4 South Prairie Conference Chess Tournament.

Individually, the Spartans also did well.

Team members Dylan Czajowski, Mike Murray, Chris Garcia, Nick Kuehn and Kevin Silva won first-place medals, while Mike Suchomel and Austin Janisch walked away with second-place honors.

The win comes after RHS tied for third at the Argo High School Tournament on Oct. 30.
