The Illinois High School Association has named the Romeoville High School Pep Band an All-State Pep Band. As such, the Spartans have been chosen to play as the top band at the class 3A/4A boys basketball final four games at the IHSA state tournament in Peoria on March 22.
The All-State Pep Band is limited to 40 members. This year’s group includes Danielle Cull, Cassie Hernandez, Abi Molen, Abee Swank, Jillian Crocker, Hannah Ford, Bryan Gaidelis, Angelique Labis, Morgan Kincade, Xavier Lampkin, Michael Gutierrez, Mariana Miranda, Kelley Beggs, David Carpenter, Spenser Fox, Mairin Kuchenbecker, Victor Osinloye, Jesse Chavez, Michael Gonzalez, Scott Jakubowski, Michael Anderson, Jon Tinoco, Edgar Perez, Carlos Ibanez, Christian Bonilla, Robin Czajowski, Kyle Hewitt, Divine Osinolye, Ken Pacis, Mike Shurhay, Francisco Rocha, Matt Boots, James Zahorick, Brian Davis, Elaina McGillen, Lucille Miller, Steven McClelland, Kardon Lyons, Joyce Kim and Steven Vonderohe.
The band is under the direction of Clark Anderson.
This is the third time in the past five years that the RHS Pep Band has been given all-state status. The Pep Band also performed Dec. 21 at the United Center in Chicago during the RHS-Plainfield Central boys basketball game and during the Bulls-Cavaliers game.
