Romeoville High School FAFSA Completion Night is Feb. 13

Get help apply for financial aid.

Submitted by Valley View School District:

Students who plan on seeking financial aid when they attend college next year are being encouraged to attend Romeoville High School’s FAFSA Completion Night from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a critical component in the financial aid process, according to RHS Guidance Department officials who add that it is very important for families of seniors to complete the FAFSA as soon after Jan. 1 as possible.

Experts will be on hand to explain the process and lead families through the actual application. Although the FAFSA requires current year income tax information, those who have yet to complete their 2013 federal income tax return are allowed to make income estimates and put actual numbers in once the return is finished.

Participants must bring Social Security numbers for both student and parent, the student’s driver’s license number, income and tax information, information about any family assets, dates of birth for both parent and student, alien registration number (if applicable), and the month and year of any marriages, separations, divorces or other changes in marital status.
