Romeoville, Bolingbrook Wrestlers Place at IHSA Regionals
Seven Valley View athletes will move on to sectional competition next weekend.
senior Rob Bain remained unbeaten this season by winning the 285 pound weight class at the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) wrestling regional at Naperville North High School over the weekend. Bain and six other Bolingbrook and high school wrestlers qualified for sectionals next weekend at Glenbard North.
Also making sectionals from Bolingbrook High School were: junior Max Crider, placing second at 106; freshman Elijah Bavarro, who took third at 120; and senior Isaac Jensen, second at 220.
Making sectionals from Romeoville High School were: senior Darshawn Hardy, second at 120; junior Caleb Ramos, second at 132; and senior Aaron Brooks, secnd at 145.
BHS finished fifth as a team in its regional, while RHS was seventh at its regional.
