Romeoville High School head basketball coach Jeff Bambule won't return to the court next season, according to The Herald-News.
After 22 years of coaching, including 13 as head coach, Bambule is resigning for family reasons, telling the paper, "It's been a rough year. My mom died. It's a family thing. I had to be there more for my dad."
Bambule, who has been a special education teacher for 20 years, will continue teaching at RHS. Athletic director Jim Boudouris is accepting applications for a new head basetball coach.
