For the second time this year, students dropped by Thursday to work with students in Lauren Nagy’s first-grade class.

“They love working with the older kids,” Nagy said. “These kids are good role models for them.

The Martinez students are part of a mentoring program set up by Martinez counselor Mimi Taylor.

“It helps build their leadership skills,” Taylor said. “They love coming here.”
