Lewis' SAAC To Conduct 'Pie Challenge' To Raise Money For Make-A-Wish Foundation

A student could get the chance to toss a pie into athletic director's face if the organization hits its fundraising goal.

The Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) has found a way to get back at their respective head coaches, as they have organized a "Pie Challenge" to not only raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, but to throw a whipped cream pie at their coach's face.

If a team raises at least $25, one student-athlete from that team will have an opportunity to throw a pie in their head coach's face. If SAAC raises at least $600, one student-athlete will be selected to throw a pie into the grill of Lewis Director of Athletics Dan Schumacher. SAAC members will collect donations in the cafeteria next week during lunch.

The pie-tossing will occur at the intermission of the men's volleyball MIVA quarterfinal match-up on Friday, April 20th. The throw will be pistol duel-style. The team member will take three paces, turn and throw.
