Lewis University alumnus and author Greg Harms will be presenting “The Israel-Palestinian Question and Candidates Perspectives” at 1 p.m. Oct. 15 in AS-158 at the university’s Main Campus in Romeoville.

Harms will provide a quick background to the situation in Israel and Palestine with some emphasis on the history of the region since 1967. He will show the different approaches of the current President Barrack Obama administration and the aspiring Gov. Mitt Romney foreign policy team. He will also predict the post-election Middle East policy.

Author of “The Palestine-Israel Conflict: A Basic Introduction,” “It’s Not About Religion” and “Straight Power Concepts in the Middle East: U.S. Foreign Policy, Israel and World History,” Harms has written several books about the United States’ Middle East policy and the Israel-Palestine conflict.

This event is being presented as a part of Lewis University’s Arts & Ideas Program, providing cultural and educational programming for students and the community. A portion of the Arts & Ideas events is sponsored by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council.
