Jersey Mike's Now Open; Sponsoring RHS Benefit

If you can get your hands on a coupon, the store will give you a free sub for a minimum contribution of $1 now through Sunday.

For those of you wondering when the day would ever arrive, Romeoville's new Jersey Mike's Subs restaurant on Weber Road opens today.

As part of its grand opening, owner Raj Patel is holding a fundraiser to benefit the Romeoville High School Booster program. The store is mailing and circulating 17,000 coupons that guarantee the holder a free sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the school now through Nov. 11.

Jersey Mike’s Subs is a chain of fast-food restaurants that got its start on the Jersey Shore in 1956. They're known for topping their sandwiches with a signature blend of olive oil, red wine vinegar and spices.

In addition to the 412 S. Weber store, Patel also owns Jersey Mike shops in Bolingbrook, Oswego, Lombard and Glen Ellyn.

“In the past, I have worked with Romeoville High School for different fundraisers through the Jersey Mike’s location in Bolingbrook,” Patel said in a news release. “This grand opening fundraiser gives us a chance to continue to give back to Romeoville High School and make an impact for the students in this community.”
