Ex-Bear Tells Brooks Students: 'The Sky Is the Limit'

 “Be who you choose to be. It’s in your hands.”

So says former Chicago Bear Ray McElroy who brought his unique motivational style to Brooks Middle School Thursday.

"Where there is no vision, people perish because they have no purpose,” the Chicago native told students. “When you don’t know where you’re going in life, nine times out of ten you will make choices that will make you wind up in dead ends.”

McElroy urged students to hang out with the right people, get a college degree and stay away from drugs and alcohol.

“It’s your choice,” he said. “But when you have a vision the opportunities  are endless. The sky is the limit.”
