Alternative Care Act to be discussed Feb. 15 at Lewis University

Lewis University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions is offering a continuing education series for nurses and interested others. As part of the series, a lecture entitled “How the Alternative Care Act Will Affect Individuals” will be delivered at 7 p.m. on Feb. 15 in South Hall Room 245 located on Lewis University’s main campus in Romeoville. This is event is free of charge and open to the public.

Health Care Justice Director for the “Campaign for Better Health Care” Jonathon VanderBrug will discuss policies that are contained in the Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act overall and will explain how those provisions will affect nurses. The purpose of his presentation is to provide individuals with a better understanding of the Illinois Alternative Health Care Delivery Act.

Lewis University College of Nursing and Health Professions is an approved provider of continuing education by the Illinois Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
