Bolingbrook HS Takes Third at 'Tournament of Dreams'

The speech team moves on to regionals on Feb. 8 at Oswego East High School.

Bolingbrook High School’s Speech Team will head into regionals with some momentum after a 3rdplace finish in the 6th BHS Annual Tournament of Dreams on Jan. 25.

Paula Freeman and Davonte Sanders took 1st in Humorous Duet Acting, while Jordan Henderson and Ashley Daniels were 2nd in Dramatic Duet Acting, and Henderson was 2nd and Sanders 4th in Poetry Reading.

Other top finishers included: Paula Freeman, 6th in Dramatic Interpretation; Jazmyne Tyler, 6th in Radio Speaking; and novice competitors Devon Richardson and Dominique Tyler Ray, 6th in Dramatic Duet Acting.

Team members are Henderson, Jennifer Lucchesi, Marisa Vargas, Nick Jacobs, Greg Ciullo, Raweel Khan, Dania Harris, Freeman, Hannah Beeter, Sanders, Paul Crafton, Kayla Lottie, Daniels, Richardson, Tyler-Ray, Christy Parzyzek, Bailely Jarvis Taylor, Samantha Cole, Ebony Gomez, Mariah Coulute, Heaven Rice, Daniel Rhoades, Mateo Martinez, Tyler, and Cristina Perez-Colin.

They are coached by Donna Franks-Tapley.
