Romeoville Christian Girls Improve to 13-1

After a week off the Lady Kingsmen of Romeoville Christian were back in action against conference opponent LaSalle-Peru Christian. After a back and forth first quarter that ended in an 11-11 tie the Kingsmen blew open the lead outscoring the visiting Soldiers 21-3 in the second. From then on it was all Romeoville as they coasted to a 55-26 win improving to 13-1 on the season. The Kingsmen were led by an outstanding performance from Junior Erica Ware who put in 17 points along with 12 rebounds. Captain Angelina Byers (5 steals) and Jessie Perez (8 rebounds, 6 assists) added another 12 points each along with 7th grader Aleah Brown who pulled down 10 rebounds for Romeoville who will be in action this Friday against another conference opponent, Berean Baptist from Rockford, IL.
