Romeos’ Tip of the Week: Pick up a great book and go on your own adventure!

Hi Everyone!
As I said last week, this week starts my 6 week. blog series entitled “The Adventures of Romeo the Little Black Dog”.
Chapter 1: “Romeo visits the public library”.
I woke up this morning to another rainy day. I know we need the rain, but its so boring when day after day I can’t go out to play. My momma said, “Romeo we are going on an adventure today and we will have lots of fun”. She put my rain poncho on me and off we went.I had no idea where we were going but that made it all the more exciting! Soon we parked by a big building with lots of steps. Momma said, ” welcome to the public library.” We opened the doors and walked inside. it was huge! There were books everywhere and tables and chairs to sit at. Momma said we needed to use our quiet voices so we wouldn’t disturb anyone trying to read or study.Momma took me to the children’s dept. where they were about to begin story time. I curled up on the rug with all the children and waited with anticipation for the storybook reading to begin. Then a very nice lady, who looked a little bit like Gram, sat in a rocking chair and opened a big book in her lap. It was a wonderful story about a little dog who accidentally went on a great adventure in the jungle. It was so interesting that I forgot all about the rain and about being bored. When it was time to go home, momma said we would come back again soon. What a wonderful day! I almost felt like I was the little dog on an adventure in the jungle. Most cities have a public library, and it’s free to go there and read their books. Some may charge a small fee to take books home with you, while others charge nothing for a library card to borrow the books. Everyone should visit the library and see what it has to offer you.
My tip this week: pick up a great book and go on your own adventure!
