Romeos' Tip of the Week: Encourage a child, and you will feel truly rewarded!

Hello everyone!

Well, its that time of year to see big yellow school buses with flashing lights dropping off and picking up the kiddies for school. Please make sure you know your local laws on stopping for buses and be aware of the school zones in your area.

Children are given rules about looking before crossing the street. Yet sometimes they get distracted, and the rules fly right out of their heads, and they run out into the road without looking. So please be extra careful as some children are heading off for school at the same time you are heading off to work.

When the children start back to school, we can’t help but think of fall. We still have plenty of summer-like weather to go, but I can’t help starting to dream about all the scents of fall baking that Momma and Gram will be doing. I’ll save some of the talk about fall for a later time.

Back to school brings up so many issues that children have to deal with. It’s an exciting time for most, but it can be terrifying for some. There are some children who are bullied relentlessly for no apparent reason other than another child wanting to be mean. Please  watch your child for symptoms that they may be a victim of a bully. School should be a place of wonder and fulfillment, but all too often its a nightmare for some. Children ARE our future so they need all the help they can get to grow and learn in a healthy happy environment.
If any of you have any thoughts or suggestions about how to end bullying in our schools please respond to this blog.

My tip this week: encourage a child, and you will feel truly rewarded!
